Harwood Cycles founder passes away at 57

Phil Wray RIP

Sadly, Phil Wray of Harwood Cycles has passed away at the age of 57.

After working in finance in London, Wray moved careers, eventually joining the cycle world and then establishing Milton Keynes shop Harwood Cycles in 1992.

As his biography on the Harwood site states, "the cycling bug bit hard" and Wray became a member of 20 cycle organisations, a frequent race and event organiser and took part in over multiple races per year.

Wray edited the Veteran Cycle Club bimonthly magazine News & Views and was also associated with the National Cycle Museum in Llandrindod Wells.
