Pedalite introduces solar-powered bag and leg lights

The Anklelite and Baglite charge in sunlight and artificial light and provide over three hours lighting when charged. The Anklelite has an RRP of £9.99, the Baglite has an RRP of £23. Both are being distributed by Raleigh.

The Anklelite consists of a solar-powered LED attached to straps that fit around the ankle with high visibility reflective strips on both sides. The lights can be turned on and off and set to different modes – flashing, constant or off.

"The saving on replacement batteries means that Anklelite enjoys a cost payback as well as helping save the environment," said Tony Doyle, advisor to Pedalite and a former world champion trackie.

Baglite is worn over the shoulders and has a front-facing LED light and two rear-facing LED lights.
