Peaty’s has launched the Monarch Saddle, a new mountain bike saddle designed to combine long-ride comfort with a fully serviceable construction intended to extend product life.
The UK bicycle care and accessories brand says the Monarch has been developed “by riders, for riders” following years of riding, racing and product testing. The saddle is positioned as a premium mountain bike option for riders looking for all-day support, reduced noise and improved durability.

A key feature is its serviceable design. Using 2mm and 3mm Allen keys, riders can disassemble the saddle, clean and re-grease the rail and lug interfaces, then rebuild it. Peaty’s says this approach is intended to address the creaks that often lead riders to replace saddles before they are otherwise worn out.
The Monarch’s removable rails are also replaceable, allowing damaged or bent rails to be swapped without replacing the complete saddle. Peaty’s says the construction should also make the product easier to separate for recycling at end of life.

Comfort-focused details include an optimised one-size-fits-most profile, a pressure relief channel, Peaty’s Throne Foam padding, Flex-Tuned rails and lugs, and a ramped rear profile designed to offer support on climbs while staying out of the way on descents.
The saddle uses a tough, waterproof, seamless vacuum-sealed PU cover, which Peaty’s says reduces the need for staples or stitching and helps limit chafing. The cover is made using 24% recycled ocean plastics, certified under the recycled claim standard.
Additional features include crash-resistant rear shoulders, a crown-debossed topper within the pressure relief channel, subtle nose branding, a matte-finish base, a choice of Ti-MX or 4130 CrMo rails, and an integrated rear grab handle for lifting the bike over obstacles or during hike-a-bike sections.
The Monarch Saddle has been tested for more than 1,000km by multiple test riders through UK winter conditions. Peaty’s is backing the launch with a 30-day Rider Comfort Guarantee.
“The Monarch Saddle represents everything we wanted from a Peaty’s product. Comfort was always the priority, but we also wanted to challenge the idea that a creaking saddle should simply be thrown away. By making it fully serviceable, riders can enjoy miles of silent running, and better for the environment,” said Bryn Morgan, design nerd and co-founder at Peaty’s.
The Peaty’s Monarch Saddle is available now in 4130 CrMo and Ti-MX versions, priced at £69.99 / €79.99 / $99.99 and £89.99 / €109.99 / $129.99 respectively. It is available through Peaty’s retailers and online as well as Silverfish distribution.
