In addition to an established D2C sales model, UK-based Pearson Cycles has introduced the first two dealers to join its sales network, with the business aim to grow its dealer network over the coming 12 months.
The first two UK-based independent performance cycling shops are said to represent “part of Pearson’s commitment to providing nationwide access” to the brand.
From Friday 14 February, customers will be able to purchase Pearson Cycles first hand at:
- Flamme Rouge – 62-64 Bromham Rd, Bedford MK40 2QG
- ACTiV Cycles – Units 1 & 2, Kingfisher Business Park, Henwood, Ashford TN24 8DG
The announcement highlights that this “move reflects Pearson Cycles’ dedication to providing unmatched service and unparalleled rider experience while enhancing nationwide access to the brand.”
A brand and customer experience match
Both Flamme Rouge and ACTiV Cycles offer pre- and post-purchase bike fit expertise, personalised handovers and are educated in the brand’s range and offering.
Jamie Quiggin, executive director at Flamme Rouge said, “I’ve known Pearson Cycles for a number of years and have always been impressed with such great bikes from a UK company. When Pearson Cycles approached us I was impressed with the quality and attention to detail on each model.
“Their exceptional service from the UK-based team ensures every bike is built to the exact needs of the rider and fits perfectly with our service-led approach to bike retailing. When they offered to back up the retail offer with a demo and display fleet to support the brand we were more than happy to partner with Pearson Cycles.”
Commenting on the news, Ian Lloyd, Director, ACTiV Cycles said: “Pearson Cycles’s range complements the other brands we stock, including Cervélo, Trek, and Argon 18.
“Offering a competitive alternative to the larger brands, their performance bikes provide a compelling proposition for customers in both the road and gravel sectors, with the added benefit of adjustable bar width, stem length, and seatpost setback, ensuring every rider gets a bike that fits perfectly from the start.”
