OneUp Components has announced the launch of new 20x110mm front and 12x157mm rear hubs, expanding its hub line-up for downhill and Superboost riders.
The new 157 hubs carry over the brand’s 44-tooth ratchet drive, 7075 aluminium construction, sealing system and serviceable hubshell design from its existing 148 hubs, while adding features aimed at wheel builders and gravity riders.
The hubs include laser-marked dimensions on the hubshell for reference, alongside a lacing alignment line on the hub flange to help line up the valve hole at the start of a wheel build.
The 20x110mm front hub is designed around large 23mm x 32mm x 7mm bearings, with OneUp saying the layout is intended to maximise stiffness while keeping weight low. The brand has also made small revisions to the inner hubshell machining and rear axle sleeve to improve serviceability.
The new 157 rear hub is compatible with SRAM’s XD Slim Driver, allowing riders to use the latest wireless seven-speed DH drivetrain on a downhill bike with a 148mm boost-spaced rear. OneUp says the 157mm hub shell can support symmetrical spoke-bracing angles, more even spoke tension and a stronger wheel build.
For added flexibility, OneUp will also offer a 15mm conversion kit for the new 20mm front hubs, enabling riders to switch between 20mm and 15mm front axles. The kit is aimed at riders considering inverted forks or dual-crown set-ups and is expected to be available in late 2026.
A dedicated Hub Rebuild Drift Kit will also be available for the new hub sizes. OneUp says ratchets, bearings, seals, freehubs and small parts will be available direct from the brand, while the hubs use common bearing sizes that can be sourced through most bike shops.
Updates on the new hubs include larger flange diameters to make spoke lacing easier, thicker brake rotor mounts on the 110x20mm front hub for durability with larger DH rotors, and revised endcaps designed to reduce seal drag and increase freespin earlier in the wheel’s life.
The hubs are intended for enduro and downhill use, with 32-hole front and rear options, 44 points of engagement, and 8.2 degrees between engagement points. Claimed weights are 182g for the front hub and 231g for the rear hub with XDR freehub.
Colour options are black or silver, with freehub options including XDR, XD Slim, Microspline and HG. The hubs are J-bend only and use six-bolt brake mounts.
UK pricing is £89.99 for the front hub and £194.99 for the rear. Pricing is also listed at US$99.99 / US$229.99, CA$139.99 / CA$299.99 and €104.99 / €229.99 for front and rear respectively.
