Avocet Sports has launched a new Viking website to match the latest range from the bike brand.
As well as showcasing the new line-up, the website is packed with new features including a ‘find a bike’ function, news and an active blog which is currently showing some of Viking’s new products and ideas.
Viking’s ‘best ever range’ features brand new pastel colours for the ladies heritage range, including light baby blue and yellows. There are also two entry level bikes such as the Campus, aimed at first time riders or the student market. The ladies version comes in bright red and the gents in black. A new mixte framed bike called the Continental also joins the classic line-up, priced at £289.99 and featuring twin top tubes running down the frame.
In the road category Viking enters with a steel framed Jetstream priced at £219.99, presented in bright yellow and also coming in 20 and 24 inch wheel sizes. Carbon forks are found on the Peloton 14 speed (RRP £439.99). There are also two new flat bar road bikes, one also with a carbon fork – Avocet said the Palermo and Treviso have been launched to capture the growing flat bar road trend, which have seen significant sales in 2012.
The brand said: "The range is full of old favourites too, but with new colours and specifications. The best being the new Tandem colours and funky shades on the new electric bikes. Check out the new Harrier in pink!"
There is a media campaign behind the launch, part of which will include a commissioned set of London style taxis, dressed in Viking design, set for March.
