Glaswegian entrepreneur James Hearn has announced the opening of his latest venture, Glasgow Bike Hive.
The new store will cater for repairs, maintenance, tool use and also offer secure storage to customers.
It will also offer a range of services including monthly membership, which will offer unlimited access to workshop space, tools and expert advice. The team will also offer training workshops so that customers can learn to fix their bike themselves.
Hearn said: “I’ve been working with bicycles for the past 16 years alongside some of the biggest brands in the industry but we offer something different. Something that Glasgow has never had all in one place: expert mechanical services, fit-for-purpose bike wash facilities, DIY tool use, secure bike storage, and maintenance classes. I wanted to create a hub for the cycling community in the West End and that’s what Glasgow Bike Hive is all about.”
On Sunday the third of June between one and five pm, Hearn and the team are officially opening the doors to the public.
The new shop is located at Unit 19 Hayburn Lane, Hyndland, G11 5AT.
