Mobile bicycle repair app Voncrank expands for 2019 with more mechanics and new van

Mobile bicycle repair app Voncrank is expanding its offering as a service app, adding two full-time mechanics and a branded, converted mobile mechanics van.

The aim is to increase its breadth of coverage and ability to offer flexible times of service for those in need of bicycle maintenance; at home, work or by the roadside, the brand has said.

The new additions come as a result of the brand’s growth in 2019. With a total of over 1,700 bikes serviced during 2018, Voncrank has ambitions of doubling this figure in 2019 with a continued focus on London. With a coverage zone spanning anywhere inside the M25, it has said it can provide qualified mechanics to service all bike shapes and sizes, including e-bikes.

Voncrank founder Cariern Clement-Pascal said: “Last year was a strong year for the platform but it also gave us plenty to think about when looking at how we can grow and make sure that we’re able to service people across the capital. With the addition of full-time mechanics and a new mobile van in the fleet we will be able to service the increasing demand in riders in need of assistance.”

The Voncrank van will officially be unveiled at the upcoming London Bike Show, where visitors will be able to see the mobile mechanics space in person, and be in with a chance of winning a number of free services.
