Madison to distribute Air Fom in UK and Ireland

Madison is now the exclusive distributor of new sustainable tyre insert brand, Air Fom, in the UK and Ireland.

After three days at iceBike* 2019, where the Air Fom stand was ‘busy’ throughout the show, both parties have signed a new distribution agreement that will see Air Fom inserts being made available to retailers in the UK and Ireland.

Air Fom brand director at Madison Adrian Phillips said: “Madison is really excited to be distributing Air Fom. We feel this brings a new dimension to the age-old issue of flats and how to stop them. It has lots of far-reaching opportunities from commuter bikes to hire fleets and everything in between.”

Based in Taichung, the Air Fom team is made up of experts in bicycle engineering, materials science, product design and manufacturing. Together, they have created a new foam tyre insert that is “durable, easy to replace, environmentally friendly and replicates the feeling of traditional air-filled tyres”. All Air Fom products are designed in the USA and manufactured in Taiwan from  Japanese materials.

Air Fom inserts are also 100% recyclable, the brand has said. The materials used are not cross linked, so they can be reprocessed and recycled back to their original form. The packaging is also 100% recyclable, using corrugated paper board and it also uses a clean manufacturing process to reduce environmental impact.
