New SRAM Red AXS groupset unveiled

SRAM has unveiled a completely redesigned Red groupset with fully wireless connectivity and expanded gearing choices.

AAdditional new features include accurate and reliable power measurement, new shift points, and more brake adjustability, while still shaving grams off every component to provide the brand’s lightest electronic groupset to-date.

Red AXS HRD Shift-Brake System

SRAM has overhauled its hood and lever architecture and achieved breakthroughs for fit across all hand sizes and easy access to more powerful and smoother braking from anywhere on the bar.

Independent reach and contact point adjustment allow for a personalised setup, with no risk of pinching fingers or bottoming out on the bar.

Better finger wrap on the hood means less fatigue, and Bonus Buttons let the rider shift or control ANT+ devices with their thumbs. The caliper is not only stiffer, but lighter too, with increased pad clearance for rub-free operation.

Red AXS Front Derailleur

According to SRAM, the updated front derailleur offers faster and more reliable shifting with “silent running” across the whole cassette.

The Red AXS front derailleur uses Yaw technology with electronic trim to ensure the fastest possible shift while eliminating chain rub in all combinations, with an easier setup, thanks to a new tool.

It is compatible with 46/33T, 48/35T, 50/37T, 52/39T, 54/41T, and 56/43T chainring combos.

Red AXS Rear Derailleur

The rear derailleur is the heart of the AXS ecosystem and is lighter, more efficient, and more capable. Covering cassette ranges from 10-28T up to 10-36T, this wireless setup has larger pulleys to decrease chain articulation and increase efficiency, and an Orbit fluid damper to keep everything in place over the rough stuff. One derailleur ready for 1x or 2x, on road or off.

Red AXS Power Meter

The choice of SRAM’s top professionals, the brand’s lightest, stiffest, and most accurate integrated power meter and chainring combo just got lighter with a new carbon crankarm construction.

The SRAM power meter is accurate to +/-1.5% and isn’t affected by temperature changes, and the consistent 13-tooth gap on the rings ensures reliable shifting.

Integrated rings are also long-lasting and SRAM offers more crankarm lengths than ever before to ensure the right fit. · Available in 160, 165, 167.5, 170, 172.5, and 175 mm lengths.

Also available in a carbon crankarm construction as Red 1 AXS Power Meter.

Red Crankset

A new optimised layup drops 29g from SRAM’s hollow carbon arms, and to stay on top of current fit trends the brand has added its first carbon 160 mm crankarm length option.

The X-Range gearing minimises cadence changes during front shifts.

Red XG-1290 Cassette

Four distinct cassette options, including SRAM’s first 10-30T and 10-36T Red cassettes, each provide secure shift ramps specifically designed for electronic shifting, whether racing road on a 10-28T or creating an all-road setup with a 10-36T.

Specifically chosen tooth jumps keep the rider in the right gear when out of the saddle on steep climbs and making fine changes to hold a wheel while approaching a sprint.

Available in 10-28T, 10-30T, 10-33T and 10-36T and the rainbow colorway available in all sizes

Red Chain

HollowPin construction is lighter and stronger than a solid pin, and cutouts in the outer and inner plates drop 13g from the previous generation.

Flattop technology enables a narrower chain with quieter operation and increased strength and durability
