le coq sportif and Oakley join CoreBike

CoreBike’s organisers have confirmed that both Oakley and le coq sportif will exhibit at the trade only event later this month.

In other welcome news, Intense Cycles legend Shaun Palmer will be visiting for the first time and will be found on with Ison in the Indianapolis room from Sunday to Tuesday between 10 and 10.45am daily.

As usual, there will be a variety of regional and Belgium beers, this time from Upgrade Bikes neighbouring brewer Dark Star and Hole Hearted, supplied by Windwave.

Dealers who collect their badges before 10.30am will also be enterred into a prize draw for a number of spa days at Core’s venue, Northamptonshire’s Whittlebury Hall. The draw will be held daily in the Hotel foyer at 4.30pm and you have to be in the hotel at the time of draw to win it.

Ben Ari Grant of le coq’s marketing team told BikeBiz that the brand is looking to grow its presence in bike shops.

"le coq sportif are really looking forward to being involved in Core Bike show for the first time and meeting a wider spectrum of cycling accounts than ever before.

Cycling is an integral part of le coq sportif’s DNA. Regaining the sponsorship of the Tour De France in 2012 and thus re-igniting a 50 year long association with the Maillot-Jaune that stretched back to 1951 has further strengthened our commitment to providing the highest quality elite performance products for professional and amateur riders alike.

Building on the incredible passion for cycling demonstrated by the British public in last year’s Yorkshire Grand Depart, along with a steadily growing reverence for our understated approach to cycling apparel among our customers, we felt that the time was right to bring our performance collections to the most prestigious bike show in the country."

Oakley, who suggest that the cycling business is a key focus for 2015, are set to debut new frame designs, as well as advancements in its lenses.
