Lauren Jenkins joins BikeBiz as Editor
BikeBiz is pleased to announce the appointment of Lauren Jenkins as its new editor. Following the announcement that Daniel Blackham was stepping down in December, his replacement has now been appointed.
Lauren has been part of the cycling industry for many years, named as one of our BikeBiz ‘Women of the Year’ when it launched back in 2015. She also received a nomination for ‘Writer of the Year’ the same year.
With a background in both marketing and journalism, she brings a blended experience to the BikeBiz team.
She joined the industry in 2013, working closely with Dirt Magazine before spending a few years on the Pinkbike editorial team.
Upon joining the BikeBiz team, she said: “I can’t really put into words what this opportunity means. Like so many in the industry, I found myself here because I fell in love with bikes and everything that comes with them.”
“I know there are challenges ahead for all of us, but I’ve no doubt there are better days around the corner. As editor, my focus is on the people who work in the bike trade. I want to showcase our industry and its people. I want to build on the legacy BikeBiz has created and connect with our community.”
“It may sound cliché, but it’s a privilege to be in this position. I’m really looking forward to getting started.”
Lauren assumed the role of editor as of 6 January 2025.
