Interbike has released the findings from a survey done on its behalf by International Cycle Works, Inc. The majority of show visitors want Interbike to stay in Las Vegas not move to Denver. 86 percent of the exhibitors and 87 percent of visitors indicated that they plan on participating in Interbike 2004. As a result, over 80 percent of the available booth space at the 2004 event has been reserved, the most exhibit space Interbike has ever booked this early in the season, said show director, Lance Camisasca.

Las Vegas is ‘preferred choice’ of Interbike visitors

The survey was carried out in In mid-December, distributed to 5000 attendees from Interbike 2003 and generated approximately 1000 responses.

“The survey is just another means for us to communicate with the bicycle industry and better understand its needs,” said Interbike show director, Lance Camisasca.

"The information obtained is hugely valuable in helping us to provide the best business environment possible."

The survey findings include:

• 95 percentof the respondents were satisfied with their 2003 Interbike experience, over half of which stated they were very satisfied.

• 80 percent of exhibitors opened new accounts at the show.

• 45 percent of retailers attended the OutDoor Demo.

• Las Vegas is still the preferred location for retail attendees, with early October remaining the preferred time for buyers to attend.
