Electric bike range incorporates battery within the frame

Kranium e-bikes land in the UK

The new Kranium range of electric bicycles have now landed in the UK.

The bikes conceal the 36V Li ion Panasonic battery so it becomes a natural part of the frame’s design. The aluminium alloy frames have been designed to accommodate the battery as well as a channelling system for internal wiring. Kranium bikes use a high-speed brushless motor which is, it said, the lightest motor available in its category, with a Star gear system providing 98 per cent driving efficiency.

The battery pack is provided with a lock secure key system. When the bike is turned off and the key removed the battery is locked into the frame of the bike, preventing theft or damage.

An LCD display acts as cycle computer, recording distance including a trip calculator and an accurate reading of the Power consumed.

Bike Republic will retail the bikes from its locations at Park Royal NW10 and Selfridges Oxford Street.

Distributor Cycotic to appoint resellers throughout the UK. RRP is £1,895. Interested dealers should contact the firm on 0208 400 2800.
