Kona releases Remote CTRL with video

Kona has released a short video of the new Kona Remote CTRL e-bike ridden by Graham Agassiz.

The bike uses Bosch’s powerful Performance Line CX motor to help riders overcome bigger obstacles up and down mountains.

The Remote CTRL e-bike platform is built around a Kona 6061 aluminium butted frame and utilises their beamer suspension platform.

The front suspension is 150mm and rear suspension is 132mm, with a RockShox Monarch Plus R rear shock and a RockShox Yari RC 150mm fork.

The crankset is Sram EX1, the drivetrain is Sram NX 11spd and the brakes are Srame Guide RE 4-piston with 200mm front /180mm rear rotor.

The bike also features a TransX dropper post seat post, Kona 35mm Bar/Stem with Kona Lock-on Key Grip cockpit, and a WTB Volt Sport saddle.

Both the front and rear tyres are Maxxis Rekon 27.5 x 2.8 Dual Compound / EXO / TR and the bike also uses a Bosch 500w Powertube battery with Abus Plus lock.

With the video ‘Your Brain on E’, Kona said they wanted to ‘poke fun at the perceived polarizing device that is the electric mountain bike’.
