SRAM has appointed former People For Bikes senior marketing and communications manager Kate Powlinson to the role of road brand manager.
“I’m excited. Kate is a skilled marketing pro and is quite intimate with the key trends in road cycling. I’m certain she will be valuable addition to our Marcon team and the SRAM family,” commented Christopher Zigmont, road brand director at SRAM.
Working from the Chicago offices and beginning November 2nd, Powlinson will work directly with the SRAM PR, product development, road sports marketing, and sales teams to develop and execute strategies for brand and product marketing. This includes comprehensive brand messaging as well as launch planning and execution.
Powlison said, “I’ve always admired the product, marketing, and people of SRAM. SRAM is an industry leader and gives a lot back to the bicycling world—something that’s very important to me coming from PeopleForBikes. Especially from the day I set foot in the stunning new office, I knew it’d be an honor to work for SRAM.”
