Jorvik Tricycles has unveiled its latest model, the VANDRA+, aimed to meet rising demand for ‘lightweight’ options- the fastest growing segment in the industry.
Named VANDRA, meaning “to wander”, this latest model combines the stability and support the brand is known for with a compact, lightweight design built for convenience and life on the go. Nimble and foldable, the VANDRA+ is Jorvik Tricycles’ smallest model to date and has been specifically designed to navigate city streets and fit easily into cars, caravans and other tight holiday spaces.

The model is the result of several years of development by Jorvik’s in-house design team, following increasing customer demand for a smaller tricycle that could be transported more easily.
Launched this month, the VANDRA+ features the lowest step-over frame and 14” tyres, creating a compact and easily foldable option, giving users greater freedom and ease when transporting. Available in black, red, green, and teal, the VANDRA+ is priced from £2,499.17.
James, Founder and Managing Director of Jorvik Tricycles, says:
The VANDRA+ has been in development for several years as we looked to create a model that offers the stability and support our customers rely on, while being lighter, more compact and easier to transport. Its launch marks an important step in our mission to provide greater choice and make cycling more accessible to more people.
Jorvik has also recently expanded its entry-level RIDA range with the launch of the RIDA X. Designed for off-road use, the model is suited to trails, beaches and uneven terrain, while retaining a low step-through frame and affordable price point of £1,999.17- making adventure cycling more accessible.
These new product launches have been announced shortly after the unveiling of the new identity for the business, drawing on York’s Viking heritage and reflecting its commitment to modernising a classic mode of transport.

Jorvik Tricycles was first launched in 2014, after owner James Walker began building tricycles for his father, who could no longer ride his traditional bicycle. What started as a passion project fuelled by love became a business enterprise, and Jorvik Tricycles was born.
These latest additions bring Jorvik’s portfolio to a total of 10 models. Each tricycle can be customised with colour options, specialised seats, mirrors and more.
