Title: Sales and Customer Relations Executive - Atherton Bikes Job Location: Machynlleth Salary: circa £24,000 JOB DESCRIPTION This is a chance to carve your own path to becoming one of the most significant contacts in our organisation. You will need to bring passion, technical know-how and excellent service to every customer interaction and take responsibility for answering queries, building relationships and identifying leads from social media. You’ll help to build an exciting schedule of demos and events and to drive sales to meet revenue targets. ATHERTON BIKES Atherton Bikes is based in Machynlleth mid Wales at the heart of a thriving MTB community and just a short pedal from Dyfi Bike Park. We’re small, agile and we’re ambitious so bring your A-game! We’re as passionate about riding our bikes as we are about selling them so expect free uplifts at Dyfi Bike Park and plenty of after work rides. THE ROLE Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Drive sales through knowledgeable interactions on social media, email, telephone and in person Provide expert level advice on bike sizing, set-up and componentry Provide excellent after-sales service, updating new customers on the progress of their build and ensuring that all is well once they have taken delivery. Maintain strong and efficient communications with the sales, marketing and manufacturing teams Understand market segments, industry trends, strategy and competitive products and play a key role in keeping the entire team abreast of interesting developments Work with the Head of Sales and the Marketing team to understand and utilize the brand and product values to help build an effective sales funnel. Monitor and report on sales data and customer feedback Assist with open house, ride-day events and demos and work with marketing to deliver larger events such as Cycle Shows Oversee and help to build merchandise sales THE CANDIDATE ESSENTIAL Good working knowledge of bicycle components and maintenance Experience of digital marketing and community engagement Strong verbal and written communication skills Comfortable with Microsoft office and other computer systems including collaboration platforms A team-player who works well under pressure and multi-task in a fast-moving environment Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required Super-organised with a can-do attitude and the drive to get things done Hands on mentality with great attention to detail A mountain-biker with highly developed social and practical skills NICE TO HAVE At least 3 years bike industry experience Experience of an inventory management system to track inventory levels of parts, components, etc. and manage sales orders Experience of sales and CRM databases HOW TO APPLY Please submit a cover letter and CV via email to: gill.harris@athertonbikes.com Closing date for applications 19.5.23 Note: The details of this job description summarise the main expectations of the role as it stands today.
