Is this the largest bike shop in the Southern Hemisphere?

Cycle Lab Megastore opened its doors on November 8th, with a ‘soft’ opening saw over 2,500 cyclist visit in one day.

The outlet, just north of Johannesburg, South Africa, measures 2,300m2 and claims to be the largest cycling retail store in the Southern Hemisphere as well as the largest bike workshop in South Africa.

The store has over 1,000 bikes in stock and 250 models to choose from, as well as a full range of accessories and kit. The Scott fitting system is the first in the country and the front of the store features a UCI designer pump track where customers can try out over 40 demo bikes.

The official Cycle Lab Megastore Grand Opening takes place this week on November 28th, followed by three days of opening specials and then a Christmas promotion in December.
