Ibis Cycles announces new DV9 carbon hardtail

Ibis Cycles has announced its new DV9 carbon hardtail, offered with two distinct build kits.

Compared to its previous hardtail, the reach on the DV9 grew by 20-24mm depending on size.

Ibis has also slackened the head tube to 67.4 degrees with a 120mm fork and 68.5 degrees with a 100mm fork.

The company said these numbers give the bike a confident feel at speed, with compromising light, and crisp handling.

The DV9 also has a 100mm Fox Stepcast fork with remote lockout and 2.25 inch fast guy tyres, or full suspension rigs with a 120mm Fox Rhythm 34 and 2.6 inch tyres.

The brand said: "The DV9 is our lightweight carbon do-anything, go-anywhere hardtail.

"With down-country geometry and massive tyre clearance, you can rip a training loop Friday, race Saturday, and roost Sunday."
