FRIDAY

Heavy cloud and outbreaks of rain will affect most of the region through the day. A better day with some sunshine in all areas. The coast will be cloudy at first and showers are expected but most inland areas will be dry with sunny spells. Northwesterly winds will be moderate inland but fresh and possibly strong on the east coast with afternoon temperatures reaching 21 Celsius in South Yorkshire, cooler elsewhere…

SUNDAY

Cloud and rain will spread east in the morning to give all parts a wet period but brighter weather will follow before midday. In the afternoon sunshine and blustery showers in all parts with the best of any sunshine near the east coast and the worst of the showers in Pennine areas. Temperatures struggling up to 19 Celsius in a fresh to strong

southwest wind. Showers will continue in Pennine districts through the evening and night but areas to the east will become dry with broken cloud…
