Dave Wardell and two as-yet-unannounced riders will schlepp to and from BMX and MTB events in one of the new T5s, and will be among the first people in the country to get one, thanks to a sponsorship deal with Volkswagen dealer Loders Van Centre of Dorchester .

GT UK race team to get new VW Transporter Van

The current van seen above will be replaced in three months by the all-new T5 Long wheelbase VW Transporter Van, and specced to the highest level.

Team manager is Nick Larsen, owner of clothing company Gate Eight.

GT distribution in the UK is split two ways: Merida supply Halfords, and Hot Wheels supplies IBDs.

Rebekah Hannam, marketing co-ordinator at Hot Wheels International, said:

"We are delighted with our association with VW and Loders. The vehicles we will be using will help provide our athletes with the facilities required at all events. These vehicles

will raise our profile."
