The UK's RBS Equipment and Germany's ACS Vertrieb are the new owners of top-end Danish bike brand Principia.

German and UK distributors of Principia take control of the Danish bike maker

Two of the previous owners – Gert Spender-Anderson and his father Niels – have left the company.

Seamus Grannell, the third of the three previous owners, stays with the company but moves up from international sales and marketing manager to MD.

Grannell said: "The business restructuring will allow significant commercial progress, with new opportunities to build on the brand, further develop the product range and to invest in stock so deliveries are faster."
