Industry musicians will compete for bragging rights at the inaugural Battle-of-the-Bands on Wednesday, October 6th, in the Venetian Ballroom, Las Vegas. The Shimano-sponsored bash - with free beer and food - will have a sound stage provided by Fender, of electric guitar fame, and the four bands will be made up of employees of Bell Sports/Giro, DeFeet, Ochsner International and Nirve.

Four trade bands to duke it out at Interbike

The name of the event? InterBash.

The four selected bands are: Surf Cinema from Bell Sports/Giro; Graffiti from DeFeet; Street Van from Ochsner International; and Stayte from Nirve

Beyond the boom of the InterBash stage, the biggest brands in cycling will be donating high-end bikes and cycling products for various raffles and a silent auction. Party-goers will have the chance to take home a Phonak/BMC team frameset autographed by Tyler Hamilton, a limited edition Lance Armstrong autographed Giro ‘Lone Star’ helmet, a Park Tool bike stand, and many other prizes and products.

InterBash is open to all show attendees. Pooceeds from the auction and raffles will benefit Bikes Belong – the US bicycle industry’s advocacy group. Sales of official InterBash jerseys and t-shirts, designed and supplied by Primal Wear, will also be sold to benefit the membership organization.

“While the goal of the party is to bring people together to support Bikes Belong, we wanted InterBash to have the feel of a festival,” said Interbike organiser, Lance Camisasca.

“So we decided to crank it up a notch with a pro-style stage and invited some of the best performers in our industry to play.
