In February, Ian Taylor joins H Young Holdings PLC of Berkshire as Group Managing Director. Taylor was Giant's UK MD for two years and was the goal-keeper in the gold medal-winning GB hockey team at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul.

Former Giant MD to take top position at owner of Madison and Animal

Taylor, 49, left Giant in 1997, leaving to become CEO of the ice hockey Superleague, a post he held until spring last year.

He played 194 times for the GB field hockey team and has over 200 England caps.

He was director of the British Olympic Association between 1990 and 1993.

Taylor will be joining H Young in early February and will assume responsibility for working with the CEOs of Madison, Animal, Young ECC Electronics, Saxon Industries and Michael Selcott Designs.
