A global adventure sports series with one event lined up for the UK is seeking a worldwide sponsor for 2001. The Y2K sponsor is Nissan.

Extreme Triathlon Series seeks sponsor

According to Sportcal.com, Team Unlimited, the Hawaii-based group which organises Xterra extreme triathlons, is touting for business and says its offering potential sponsors the opportunity to become Exclusive Signature Presenting Sponsors of the Xterra World Tour in 2001.

The Y2K series is half way through already. Xterra Great Britain 2000 will be staged on the weekend of 2nd-3rd September at Dunster Castle, Exmoor and will be televised for a one hour show on SKY TV, scheduled to air in January, 2001.

This is the first Xterra event in the UK, although the extreme triathlon series has been running in America for the five years.

Xterra competitors take part in a 1500m swim, followed by a 30km mountain bike race and culminating with an 11km cross country race.
