From September 9–14, 2025, visitors to IAA Mobility in Munich will have the opportunity to experience and discuss the most important and pressing topics shaping the future of mobility.

As the world’s leading platform for future mobility, a global meeting point for top international stakeholders and visionaries, and an immersive event for mobility enthusiasts from around the globe, IAA Mobility 2025 will once again transform Munich into a one-of-a-kind mobility festival.

Experience Innovations on Two Wheels

In addition to the automotive and tech highlights, cycling and micromobility will once again play a central role at IAA Mobility 2025. A new highlight will be the combined Cycling & Micromobility Area, located on the northern stretch of Ludwigstrasse near the Siegestor in downtown Munich. Companies will present their latest innovations here, and visitors will be able to test a wide range of urban mobility solutions—whether cargo bikes, e-bikes, or e-scooters.

A dedicated cycling & micromobility test track will recreate real-world street conditions, featuring challenges like rough cobblestone surfaces, speed bumps, curbs, gravel paths, tight curves, and acceleration zones.

Another standout attraction will be the cycling test track in Munich’s English Garden. This four-kilometre circuit will allow visitors to try out and compare bikes, e-bikes, and e-scooters, provided free of charge.

2023 Success Story: Enthusiasm Across the Board

In 2023, more than 500,000 visitors from 109 countries came to Munich to be inspired by over 750 exhibitors and to experience the latest innovations firsthand. IAA Mobility 2025 is building upon that success. Organisers report that exhibition halls at the Messe München are already nearly sold out, with waiting lists forming for spaces in downtown Munich. As of now, about half of all exhibitors are expected to come from outside Germany, and around one in five will be participating for the first time.

Leading automotive and tech companies like Volkswagen, BMW, BYD, Continental, Ford, Google, Samsung, and Qualcomm have already confirmed their participation, alongside major cycling brands such as Riese & Müller, Schwalbe, and Bosch eBike Systems.

Formats for Every Audience: IAA Summit, IAA Conference, IAA Open Space, and IAA Experience

IAA Mobility 2025 will feature four main formats:

The IAA Summit, held from September 9–12, 2025, at the Messe München, is the premier industry gathering for stakeholders in mobility, sustainability, and technology. Companies from across the mobility spectrum will showcase their products, innovations, and new developments to a specialised audience.

Master classes will offer deep dives into key topics like energy storage and charging solutions for all types of vehicles, circular economy practices, multimodal transportation, automated driving, and infrastructure development. The IAA Summit will also provide exclusive insights into groundbreaking research projects and technological milestones.

The IAA Conference will bring industry experts, visionaries, and policymakers together to discuss the future of mobility in a broader societal and technological context, across six stages at the Messe München. High-profile speakers already announced include Ola Källenius (Chairman of the Board, Mercedes-Benz Group AG), Dr. Stefan Hartung (CEO, Robert Bosch GmbH), and Dr. Sandra Wolf (CEO, Riese & Müller).

The IAA Open Space, accessible to the public free of charge, will turn downtown Munich into a vibrant festival atmosphere where visitors can experience a blend of innovation, entertainment, hands-on activities, and engage directly with companies.

This format is ideal for companies that want to reach industry professionals and the wider public with forward-looking mobility solutions. One special highlight of the Open Space will be the Family Trail, featuring interactive exhibits and test opportunities designed to help children explore the mobility of tomorrow through play. A stage near the Siegestor will host live performances and themed days focused on careers, family activities, and youth engagement.

In the Citizens Lab at the Marienplatz, visitors can share their ideas and visions for the future of urban mobility and engage in dialogue with experts from politics, business, and science.

Finally, IAA Experience will offer hands-on opportunities for visitors to test vehicles and innovations—from eBikes and autonomous vehicles to driver assistance systems and charging technologies — on open roads and dedicated test tracks.
