Europe’s biggest cycling trade show has announced it will be moving to a biannual schedule following the 2027 show. According to Show Daily, the organisers announced the changes to scheduling at the Media Day held prior to the show’s opening on 24th June.

Following the rescheduled 2027 show, which is now due to take place in September rather than June, Eurobike will go on hiatus in 2028 and return in 2029. From then on the show will take place every two years. While this may be a surprise to some, for others, it’s more expected as fewer big brands have been visible at the show over the last few years.

The announcement also comes just days after a rival show was revealed to be taking place in Cologne, called “Towards Tomorrow”. This inernational cycling show will be taking place in September next year, between 6-8, when Eurobike’s dates for 2027 are September 1-4.

Whether this signals an end to the Eurobike show as we’ve known it, or whether the organisers of the show want to refocus efforts on making it more worthwhile for the industry is yet to be seen.
