Ed Clancy and Bradley Wiggins saddle up for Tour of Britain

World, Olympic and Commonwealth cycle champions have signed up to this year’s Tour of Britain, starting in less than a week.

Olympians Steve Cummings, Ed Clancy, Geraint Thomas and Bradley Wiggins – boasting nine medals among them – will line up for Britain’s biggest professional cycle race. Commonwealth Games medallists Matthew Hayman, Greg Henderson and Mark Renshaw will also race at the Tour.

Seventeen teams will ride in the Tour, which starts in Rochdale on Sunday September 11th for Stage One. ITV4 will again screen highlights from 19:00 – 20:00.

This year the Tour of Britain is partnering with the Prostate Cancer Charity. The official site for the tour is www.tourride.co.uk.
