Doing the Shimano Shuffle

Shimano Inc. of Japan has announced that its current president, Mr Yoshizo Shimano has just been appointed as Chairman of the board of directors. He will be succeeded by his

nephew Mr Yozo Shimano, who is currently Executive Vice-President.

These proposed appointments will have to be confirmed during the annual share-holder meeting on March 28th 2001.
