Dahon hires ex-Cannondale and Mongoose staffers

Folding bike firm Dahon has hired Americans Curt Davis and Greg Blake as new directors of product development.

Davis formerly worked for Cannondale Bicycles as global director of product management for recreation and urban bicycles, and has more than 15 years of industry experience. At Dahon, Davis will oversee the bicycle and accessory product lines and take an active role in strategic product marketing. He will use his experience to bring consumer-focused and fashionable Dahon products to market.

Specializing in R&D for Dahon, Blake will work closely with sales and marketing to identify consumer needs and explore new engineering concepts and technologies from a fresh vantage point. Blake began his career at the age of 15 working in a bike shop and has spent the past 20 years with the Mongoose brand. He has developed nine patents for Pacific Cycle as well as the award-winning Schwinn Stingray and Spoiler models.
