Low centre of gravity device eliminates wobble associated with seatpost clamped tow devices

Cyclesense brings FollowMe ‘tandem tow bar’ to UK

Yorkshire retailer CycleSense has linked up with Swiss parent-child tow bar maker FollowMe, a manufacturer with a unique take on how a two-bike tandem should work.

Noting the wobble sometimes associated with seatpost clamped tow-bars, FollowMe’s steel tandem bracket links at axle level, offering a lower centre of gravity and thus a more stable ride for the child.

It weighs 4kg and features a clever connection and special quick-release mechanism which allows parents to react quickly to their cycling environment. When the child is cycling independently, the device remains attached to the adult bike and is simply hitched up by a nylon strap to the seatpost.

The device works with kids’ bikes with wheel sizes wheels measuring between 12” and 20”. FollowMe can also be used with a pannier rack and side panniers attached to the bike at the same time or even a rear mounted child seat, allowing parents to tow two children at once.

The FollowMe is priced at £210 and is available exclusively in the UK via leading retailer Cyclesense on their FollowMe website which is geared towards family cycling.
