Cycleplan and Lizzie Deignan partner on one-off training course

Bike insurance brand Cycleplan has partnered with accomplished British road cyclist Lizzie Deignan on a limited training experience.

The competition is open to any cyclists training for a sportive in 2018, with Deignan herself currently in the process of training for the Tour de Yorkshire, a race that she won in 2017.

Olympic medallist and National Road Race Champion Deignan will aide the winner of the experience in their training regime. Via Skype calls between her and the winner, Deignan will provide expert advice on race preparation, training tips on how to ride better and advice on keeping motivated in the weeks running up to race day.

Deignan said: “The last few weeks of training for a big race are tough. It can get lonely putting the miles in on the bike. You’re also trying to reach peak fitness while at the same time avoiding any last-minute injury, which could ruin months of training. It can be a difficult time for a cyclist. I hope by sharing my tips and knowledge during this time, the winner is going to have an incredible experience on race day.”
