Show organiser Michael Bennett said converting the Friday trade day into a public one was made at the request of exhibitors.
"It has become increasingly obvious that the great attraction for exhibitors is the prospect of being able to show off their entire range to large audiences of cycling enthusiasts," said Bennett.
The show risked looking busy on the two public days but looking slack on the two trade days. With a single trade and press preview day, numbers are more concentrated.
Thursay 26th September is the trade day and visitors will be encouraged to pre-register to "ensure all those who want to attend can do so with the minimum of fuss to maximise their time at the show," said Bennett.
"Trade visitors will be welcome on any of the four days but the show will change its emphasis to appeal to the general public for the remaining three days."
Bennett believes the PR potential for the show is great, and an ‘extra’ trade day not in the best interests of the bicycle industry:
"Taking into account the widespread support and commitment we have already recieved from our exhibitors we are confident that this exhibition will provide the industry with a platform that will capture the imagination of the national media and give cycling the kind of media attention it deserves."
Bennett is reluctant to release details, at this time, of who is exhibiting but it’s believed the show is attracting anchor brands such as Trek.
