Why is the product defective?
After analysing a small number of reported cases of cracks forming above the brake mount on our Agree C:62 carbon fibre forks, it was found that a change to the resin material in model year 2025 has resulted in isolated forks having an insufficient resin content in this area. The forks affected by this issue do not adequately meet our own quality standards in the event of excessive braking force.
Excessive braking force on the affected Agree C:62 carbon fork may cause the outermost carbon layers to delaminate, resulting in cracks and significantly weakening the fork structure, through to complete failure of the left fork blade. The described product defect increases the risk of an accident, which can cause material damage, serious injuries or even death.
What action needs to be taken
The use of bikes affected by this recall must stop immediately and without exception until the fork has been checked and affected forks replaced. For safety reasons, every fork covered by this issue must be replaced.
All customers have the option to check whether their bike is affected by the recall by using the bike’s frame number (WOW number).
To check if your bike is covered by the recall, you will need your frame (WOW) number. You will also need the serial number on the fork to determine if it needs to be replaced. The serial number on the affected carbon forks is located on the steerer tube and can only be accessed by removing the headset. This work should only be done by a bike professional. The final inspection, the replacement and all steps of processing must be carried out by an authorised CUBE dealer.
CUBE says they are working at full speed to provide replacement forks. The first replacements are expected to be available from the beginning of February 2026. This will be followed at regular intervals by further deliveries until the recall is complete.
