Citrus-Lime partners with BikeBiz Awards 2018

Citrus-Lime has confirmed its partnership with the 2018 edition of the BikeBiz Awards.

The brand will act as official events partner for the awards, which is now in its tenth year.

“We are proud to be supporting the BikeBiz Awards for 2018,” commented Citrus-Lime’s David Gaule. “It’s a great event that recognises the achievements of cycle retailers, their suppliers and other service providers who support the industry.

A question we regularly ask ourselves at Citrus-Lime is: How should the industry adapt to changes that are challenging traditional forms of retail?

As with most industries, a lot of these changes are driven by politics and technology. We’re certain consumers will still need their local bike shops in a meaningful form for many years to come.

We enjoy being involved in the BikeBiz Awards because it celebrates innovators who, despite the stories of doom and gloom, are determined to learn from their customers, adapt and succeed. We’re keen to help retailers and distributors who are seeking to embrace these changes, to find their best position in this evolving marketplace.

That’s why, over the past 18 months, we’ve lowered our pricing – a biker’s nod, of sorts, to IBDs to make embracing change with new technology more affordable; and our sponsorship of the BikeBiz Awards, is a similar nod of recognition to the wider industry and all those who work in it, who give us the opportunity to contribute to something we genuinely care about. Thank you.”

The brand specialises in providing independent retailers with modern and efficient ecommerce, epos and stock-control solutions that give them a competitive advantage and the infrastructure on which to build successful retail businesses. The brand understands the cycling industry and what makes bicycle dealers tick: Citrus-Lime can help your business become more profitable both in-store and online.

With just two days left to cast your submissions for the BikeBiz Awards 2018, the time to take action is now!

The prestigious tenth anniversary awards will be taking place on February 23rd, 2018 at ExCeL London!

Co-located with the London Bike Show at The Bridge, this prestigious event is firmly established as the cycling industry’s foremost opportunity to reward and recognise innovation and commitment to the business of bikes. This year, there are a few key changes to the awards process, as well as five brand-new awards.

Stage 1: Nominations

During Stage 1 we are asking members of the cycling trade community, and prosumer cycling enthusiasts, to nominate their partners, customers, colleagues and friends in relevant categories. We won’t be asking for a lot of information at this point; we just want to know who you think should be in the running to be a winner at the BikeBiz Awards 2018.

Nominations will close on November 23rd.

Stage 2: The Shortlist

The BikeBiz team will contact nominees for more information about why they should win the award. This will then be released as a shortlist, based on the number of nominations received, and the information we receive.

The information we will be asking for is listed on our website as the judging criteria.

Stage 3: Vote for your winner!

BikeBiz is all about the industry, and as such it’s important to us that our awards are the industry stamp of approval and recognition of exceptional work. This year we’ll be asking the industry to cast their votes for winners through our website. Anyone in the industry can get involved, creating an inclusive and transparent awards system.

Stage 4: The Big Reveal!

The winners will be announced live at the BikeBiz Awards on the February 23rd. Don’t forget to get your tickets early as numbers are limited!
