Chicken CycleKit announces two new area managers

Chicken CycleKit has announced the addition of a new area manager and new Scotland/Ireland area manager.

Alex Sheppard, who was previously based in the south of England territory, has moved up to Scotland to live and will be serving as the area sales manager for Scotland and both Northern Ireland and Ireland.

Gary Turner, Chicken CycleKit sales director, commented: “We are thrilled to be able support Alex in his move up to Scotland. It will be fantastic for him to be able to gain new experience in a different territory and we’re sure dealers will enjoy welcoming him to this new role.”

Chicken CycleKit will also be welcoming Carey O’Callaghan to the team.

O’Callaghan will be taking over Sheppard’s former role as the area sales manager in the south Of England.

He takes extensive knowledge to the role with seven years’ experience in the bike industry, and is already well-known in the area.

Turner added: “We’re excited to welcome Carey to the team, who already has a proven track record in elevating the brands that he works with and creating strong and lasting relationships within the industry.”

This year has been a busy period for the Leighton Buzzard-based distributor with the addition of Mavic and Burley to its portfolio.

Mavic needs no introduction as one of the most recognisable brands in the cycling industry. Chicken CycleKit now offers a full UK stock holding for the brand, next-day deliveries, increased area sales coverage, reduced carriage costs and an onsite Mavic Service Centre.

Mavic is continuing to support the UK OEM business and strategic online retailers. directly from its HQ in France.

US brand, Burley is Oregon-based business known for its range of bicycle trailers, accessories, and replacement parts, all designed for safety, durability, and adventure.

Chicken CycleKit offers Burley’s complete line of kid, pet and cargo bicycle trailers, accessories, and replacement parts.
