Mountain Biking UK is auctioning a t-shirt signed by some of the world’s most famous downhill and dirt jump riders for charity Catch 22.
Catch 22 works with children from disadvantaged backgrounds and gets them on bikes in an effort to keep them ‘on the straight and narrow’. Over 150 teenagers benefit from the scheme yearly, and over 70 per cent of those taking part in Catch 22’s education and training schemes go on to work or study within a month of leaving.
The t-shirt is signed by Steve Peat, Dan, Gee and Rachel Atherton, Greg Minnaar, Jamie Goldman, Brian Lopes, Chris Kovarik and Chris Smith. Ray Samson, Sam Pilgrim and a host of other names have also signed the shirt, which you can bid on here.
“We met the guys from Catch 22 at BikeRadar Live this summer and were really impressed by the work they do with young people and cycling,” said MBUK dep editor Rosee Woodland.
“We wanted to help any way we could. By auctioning off the t-shirt we’ll raise awareness of the amazing job they do, and be able to give them a nice cheque too.”
