A new deal between British Cycling and revolutionary healthy lifestyle app, bounts, encourages cyclists to get on their bikes more often

British Cycling just got even more rewarding

A new deal between British Cycling and revolutionary healthy lifestyle app, bounts, encourages cyclists to get on their bikes more often.

Cyclists are to receive rewards after the announcement that bounts, the innovative fitness rewards app, has partnered with British Cycling. The popular bounts app rewards people for any exercise they choose to do – motivating people to get moving and rewarding them for staying active. Both organisations will work together to achieve a number of goals, including incentivising those who are inactive to become physically active through participation in cycling, increasing both the regularity and the frequency of their cycling by introducing the reward element, and engaging with those from underrepresented groups to cycle more regularly for health, fitness and leisure.

The 6-month pilot project kicked off on July 8th with the first of a number of British Cycling-sponsored Cycle Challenges. Celebrating the excitement of the Tour de France, riders who complete three rides over three weeks can win one of ten Tour de France 2016 official souvenir packs or 10,000 bounts points.

Commenting on the new relationship with British Cycling, John Stuart, CEO and founder of bounts announced: “We’re delighted and proud to be working with British Cycling. Whenever we run cycling challenges on the bounts app we get a great deal of interest. Formalising this relationship with British Cycling means we will motivate and encourage many more people to get out on their bike."

Jill Puttnam of British Cycling added: “We’re always keen to explore new ways of encouraging people to get out on their bikes, and partnering with bounts is an exciting development for us. The free bike rides we offer at goskyride.com are a really easy way to get cycling – and now you can be rewarded for doing it!”
