Two helmets make up the initial range, with performance and urban models

Bollé bolsters bike line-up with helmets

Bollé has expanded its cycle accessory range with its first line of helmets.

The move is a logical extension of the family of products for Bolle, having produced helmets for snow sports. Just two helmets will launch the range – an urban Messenger helmet and a performance lid, the latter understandably focusing on aerodynamics and ventilation.

“Making cutting-edge products for cyclists is an important part of what we do,” said Olivier Ciaravino, Global Eyewear Division president. “The unique features and modern design of these helmets is an extension of our well-established commitment to offering the best possible gear for riders.”

The helmets include a Safety QR Code. Said to be unique to Bollé, the Code system allows a pre-recorded message including personal medical details to be accessed via a QR Code on the helmet.

They also feature removable Aero Shells: The One’s aerodynamic shells can be removed to partially or wholly reveal 31 vents for full ventilation in warm conditions (shells available on The One Premium).

Other feature include an LED light built into the rear of the helmet a sunglasses ‘garage’ on The One and interchangeable summer and winter linings. RRPs start at £69.99 for the Messenger and £89 for The One.
