Bike shop to host ZwiftCon

Run and Ride in Hednesford, Staffs, is to be the venue for the first ZwiftCon, a meet-up of users of the indoor-cycling training-in-a-virtual-world experience.

The free-to-enter event is being organised by Zwift-users Dave Owen andDr. James Gill, aka The Titanium Geek.

Cycleops, Tacx, Elite and Wahoo all have products plugged into the growing Zwift eco-system.

"Zwift is a game changer," said Owen. "I’m an old ‘tester’ who gave it up, got a little chubby, started running and loved it and then got injured and started riding again. I tripped over Zwift and it’s changed my enjoyment of riding."

On the Sunday, elite track cyclist Chris Pritchard will be the event’s MC. There will also be talks from Tim Lawson (Secret Training). Dr Garry Palmer (Sportstest) and the Titanium Geek. Moore Large and Spokesman clothing are supporting the event.

The event will be staged Saturday 3rd to Sunday 4th December.
