Vancouver bartender Kayla Smith took the bold step of ‘stealing’ back her bike on a test ride, reports the Globe and Mail.
Smith saw her stolen bike on Craigslist and called the seller asking to see it in person – without letting slip it was her bike. After persuading the seller to let her have a test ride, Smith rode out of the car park and never came back.
Local police have warned against other bike crime victims taking matters into their own hands, saying the situation could have "taken a turn for the worse". Full story at The Globe and Mail.
