To encourage more people to switch their car for a bike on World Car Free Day this Sunday, 22nd September, Beryl will reward riders in each of its active cities.
The bike-share operator will select three top riders on Car Free Day and reward them with free 400 minute bundles.
CEO of Beryl Phil Ellis said: “At Beryl, we’re all about action. We want to champion those people who take Car Free Day as a directive and actively choose alternative methods of transport this Sunday. Whether you go by Beryl Bike, walk, take public transport or any other alternative method, let’s leave the cars at home and go Car-free.”
At the end of the day on Sunday, Beryl will look at the number of trips taken and total distance covered by bike to decide the top three riders in each city, who will then win a 400-minute bundle to keep riding.
World Car Free Day events are happening across the UK and the world this Sunday, including a series of activities in the City of London for the Mayor’s Reimagine event.
Beryl Bikes operate in the City of London, Bournemouth and Poole, and Hereford. To participate in World Car Free Day, download the Beryl app and set up an account.
