Roads Were Not Built For Cars becomes the number one selling Kindle motoring book on both Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk

Amazon.com’s best-selling motoring book is about … cycling

Cycling history book Roads Were Not Built For Cars by BikeBiz executive editor Carlton Reid has become the number one selling Kindle book on Amazon.com, but not in the cycling section – earlier today it became the best-seller in the automotive category. It is also the number one Kindle book on Amazon.co.uk, with Motormouth by Jeremy Clarkson in ninth position.

Roads Were Not Built For Cars is subtitled "How cyclists were the first to push for Good Roads and became the pioneers of motoring."

The iPad version of the book has previously been the number one history book on iTunes. Print copies of the book sold out within days of publication. The second edition will be published by Island Press of Washington, D.C.
