Allied Cycle Works is unveiling an updated version of its award-winning BC40 mountain bike, now with a 100-gram reduction in frame weight, all aimed at further optimising XCC and XCO performance.
Alongside the BC40, the Rogers, AR-headquartered business is launching the Duet, “an innovative, lightweight handlebar and stem designed” which is manufactured in-house “to set new adjustability and weight reduction standards”.

UCI MTB XC WC adventures start here
The upgrades to the brand’s XC race whip come as the business confirms the BC40 will be raced by Kate Courtney in 2025, bringing the American brand to the World Cup start line.
Speaking at the announcement Courtney said: “The opportunity to be the first rider to bring this American brand to the World Cup start line was one I could not pass up. Testing the BC40 immediately blew me away and getting to know the passionate people behind it gives me confidence. It’s just the beginning of what is possible.”
Of the news that the brand will be on the start line at MTB XC WC events this season, raced by Courtney, Allied CEO Drew Medlock added, “Kate’s passion for excellence perfectly aligns with what we’re building at Allied. She’s the ideal athlete to showcase the next generation of the BC40 and our new components. Together, we’re redefining what’s possible for cross-country racing.”
New programme. New focus. More than racing.
Courtney, a former XCO World Champion, Olympian, and two-time U.S. National Champion, and serial podium finisher, will be racing with her newly launched She Sends Racing program, a mission-driven initiative that supports women and girls in mountain biking through the She Sends Foundation.
She Sends Racing is Courtney’s newly launched, mission-driven privateer program. It aims to raise awareness for the She Sends Foundation, a non-profit established in 2023 to connect, support, and inspire women and girls through mountain biking.
