Got a frame that needs coating? Send it over to Alans in Wigan, who have over 220 colours to choose from

Alans BMX launches powder coating and restoration service

Alans BMX of Wigan has today announced a powder coating service, available from just £20 collected and delivered.

Standard frame, fork and bar set costs from £100 and for a frame on it’s own the service costs from £55. In due course, Alans will also offer welding and other repair services.

Owner, Alan Woods, told BikeBiz: "Finally we are proud to announce a service we are not just happy with, but over the moon with. The fact of the matter is that as BMX frames haven’t changed much in the last couple of years a lot of riders have perfect usable frames that might just look a but beat up from hard use. Our service provides an alternative to spending £500 on a new frame, fork and bars when there might be nothing wrong with what you have, apart from the cosmetics.

"There are over 220 colours available including special Metallics, Hammered and Candy finishes, which will all be listed on in due course. If you have a special colour or finish that you want that isn’t listed please call or email us."

If you’re local, you can drop components for resprays to Alans (Wigan) Ltd, 47-51 Wallgate, Wigan, WN1 1BE.

For just £20, Alans we can collect and deliver frames, etc (size limitations apply) in mainland UK (excluding Scottish Highlands). Alans can deliver to other UK destinations (including Northern Ireland) for £20 (customer sends job to us).
