Castelli has expanded its bestselling Espresso collection with the launch of two new transitional-weather bib garments and updates to key layering pieces in the range.
The Italian clothing brand has introduced the Espresso Thermal Bibshort and Espresso TRNSTN Bibtight, alongside refreshed Espresso 2 long sleeve jersey, Espresso Thermal 2 jersey and Espresso 2 vest options.
The range is designed for what Castelli describes as the “Transition” period between warm summer conditions and deep winter riding, with products intended to help riders manage changeable temperatures through layering and garment choice.
The new Espresso Thermal Bibshort is positioned as a performance option for temperatures between 10-18°C. It retains the clean look of the standard Espresso 2 Bibshort, but adds a brushed thermal interior for insulation while maintaining stretch and flexibility. The short also features additional front coverage and a tapered construction behind the knee to reduce bunching while pedalling.
The Espresso Thermal Bibshort is available in men’s sizing from XS-3XL, in Belgian Blue, Black, Shadow and Smoky Gray. Claimed weight is 222g and RRP is €170, $210 or £185.
For riders seeking full leg coverage without moving into a deep-winter tight, the Espresso TRNSTN Bibtight is designed for temperatures between 8-16°C. The garment uses the same Doppio fabric and Progetto X2 Air seamless seat pad found in the Espresso 2 Bibshort, now offered in a long-leg format.
The Espresso TRNSTN Bibtight is available in men’s and women’s versions. Men’s sizes run XS-3XL, with Belgian Blue, Black, Clay and Paprika colour options, while the women’s version is available in Black and Clay. Claimed weights are 212g for men’s and 245g for women’s, with RRP set at €180, $210 or £190.
Castelli has also updated its Espresso 2 LS Jersey and Espresso Thermal 2 Jersey, with extra reinforcement in the rear pockets designed to reduce sagging when loaded, as well as new colourways across the men’s and women’s ranges.
The Espresso 2 LS Jersey uses a summer-weight fabric and is intended for 15-25°C conditions. Pricing is €140, $170 or £145. The Espresso Thermal 2 Jersey adds a fleece-like inner for cooler rides between 12-18°C, with RRP at €160, $190 or £165.
The Espresso 2 Vest has also been refreshed with a wider selection of colour options. Designed for 12-20°C conditions, the vest combines a stretch-woven wind-blocking fabric on the front with a lightweight rear fabric to support breathability and packability. Castelli says the vest can be packed into half of a standard jersey pocket.
The Espresso 2 Vest is available in men’s sizes XS-3XL and women’s sizes XXS-XL, with RRP at €130, $155 or £135.
