Christopher Zigmont, formerly with Pedro's and Mavic, has rolled out a new, eponymous business development consultancy

Zigmont goes solo

Christopher Zigmont of New Hampshire is a 20 year veteran of the bicycle business, having started in cycle retail and then working for Specialized.

He spent ten years at Mavic, worked on watts with PowerTap, and was latterly the CEO of tool and lube maker Pedro’s.

Zigmont has now created his own consultancy providing marketing and business development support to the cycling industry.

The first clients of christopherzigmont.com are Lifeboat Events, producers of PressCamp and DealerCamp; the Providence Cyclocross Festival; and Montague Corporation of Cambridge, MA.

Lance Camisasca, President of Lifeboat Events, said:

“It’s no coincidence that many of the brand and product names we all know are covered with Chris’ fingerprints. Names like Mavic Crossmax and Ksyrium; PowerTap; Pedro’s, PressCamp and more can directly trace their success to Chris’ contribution. We’re excited to have Chris more involved at Lifeboat Events and suspect other companies will seek his advice."

Zigmont said: “I’ve been lucky to work with some of the top brands and most forward thinking minds in our industry. I plan to apply what I’ve learned to the benefit of my business partners. The objective is to offer companies a different way of looking at things."

His website leads with: "The bike is an instrument of good, improving health, the planet and one’s general outlook."
