The Yepp Maxi has been given the highest ranking score for child bike seats by Danish consumer organisation Taenk.
Testing the five most popular bike seats in Denmark, the results judged Yepp’s Maxi as the highest ranking bicycle child seat, scoring particularly highly for overall stability, five-points safety-harness, user friendly mounting and durable locking.
Other seats tested by Taenk included the Polisport Bilby, the OK Baby Bodyguard, the Bobike Maxi and the Hamax Kiss. All seats were assessed on aspects as durability and safety (50 per cent score), ease of use (20 per cent score), ergonomics (score 20 per cent score) and correct marking and clear manuals.
The Yepp Maxi is distributed by Fisher Outdoor Leisure in the UK – dealers interested in stocking the brand should contact the firm directly.
The results were published in the March 2012 edition of Taenk, published by the Danish Consumer Council – an independent membership organisation which ‘works for the promotion of sustainable and socially responsible consumption and efficient markets’, also defending consumer rights.
