Brand expands across the world following Dorel's Hot Wheels acquisition

Xposure BMX reveals global growth

The Xposure BMX parts brand has picked up nine active distributors outside the UK since it was launched internationally in March this year.

Purchased by Dorel in October 2009 as part of the Hot Wheels acquisition, the enhanced resources have seen Xposure increased sales in the UK and acquire distribution partners around the globe to give the brand its widest exposure yet.

Brian Baldis was recruited this year as product manager for Xposure. Baldis’ sourcing experience in the Far East has helped the range grow with sharp pricing, despite currency volatility and raw material increases, according to UK distributor CSG.

“The combination of Brian and Chris has led to significant improvements in an already good product line," commented Russell Merry, joint MD of CSG UK. "They both ‘get’ BMX and the strength of the line has seen interest from all over the world. Neil and I founded this brand back in 1994 and we are proud to see how it has grown to become internationally distributed whilst maintaining its UK heritage.”

Xposure was originally launched in 1994, pitched as a UK BMX market supplier with strong and reliable parts.

Dave Manchester, senior vice president of sales at CSG USA, added: “We just landed our first shipment of Xposure and its getting out there to dealers. We have taken some repeat orders already, being a UK based brand makes it pretty unique. Xposure is part of our plan to grow our P&A line in the USA.”
